Friday’s Football Headlines: Wahpeton upsets 11AA No. 1 Jamestown

The biggest upset of the evening came in Wahpeton as Class 11AA’s No. 1-ranked Jamestown fell 14-13 on the hands of a last-minute interception by the Huskies’ Jackson DeVries.

Jamestown had time and downs to work when DeVries picked off all-state QB Payton Hochhalter in the end zone.

Oak Grove last-second FG wins it

If you thought that video out of Wahpeton was good, check out this one out of Ellendale.

Luke Johnson lofted a 42-yard field goal just long enough to lift Fargo Oak Grove to a 37-36 win over Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm.

South beats North in Fargo crosstown rivalry

The Class 11A rankings are bound to be in for a shakeup. Along with Jamestown losing, No. 4-ranked Fargo South came from behind to beat No. 2-ranked rival Fargo North.
